The Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) hosted a meeting with the delegation led by Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), Kairat Sarybay.

The issues related to the future objectives of the CICA, current regional and global challenges, and the development of adequate response mechanisms to them topped the agenda of discussions. The parties hailed the CICA Council of Foreign Ministers’ decision dated March 19, 2024, to elect Azerbaijan as the CICA Chairperson for 2024-2026, assessing it as a positive step in terms of determining the future directions and priorities of the institution.

At the meeting, the necessity of expanding cooperation and academic exchanges between the CICA Think Tank Forum and the AIR Center was emphasized.

In the end, Secretary General Kayrat Sarybay presented a book about CICA activities to Chairman of the Board of Directors of the AIR Center, Farid Shafiyev.
